With the increased incidence of early-stage breast cancer detection, intra-operative tumor localization has become essential for optimal breast-conserving surgery. The Magnetic Marker Localization (MaMaLoc) technology was developed at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam (NKI-AvL) in co-operation with the University of Twente.
